Liudmila Zavolokina

Liudmila Zavolokina is a recent PhD graduate from the University of Zurich. She is particularly interested in blockchain technology, FinTech and digital ecosystems. Liudmila loves to share her knowledge as a researcher, speaker and business IT consultant in information systems. Coming to Switzerland after completing her Master’s degree and working in the software industry in Russia, shecontinues to work on original and innovative digital solutions that have not only already been published many times, but that also benefit the society.

As a next step, she will be working as a postdoctoral research at the Digital Society Initiative at the UZH. Liudmila, whose name means “nice to people” in Russian, strongly believes that digitalization is not about technologies, but people. To be able to build a digital solution, one should start with an understanding of people’s problems and needs and not with finding a right technology.
